Application Process

After meeting with your graduate program advisor and your education abroad advisor you should begin the application process.

Graduate Semester Education Abroad Application Process

Applying to spend a semester abroad is a two-step process.  You will first apply to Babson for approval to participate in Babson's Graduate Semester Abroad program.  Once you have received approval from Babson to spend a semester abroad, you will be nominated to the host institution and may then be asked to complete a secondary application for the host institution.  The secondary application may require you to provide additional application materials such as a resume or passport pictures, among other items.  Please consult your education abroad advisor for the application requirements of the host institution or program for which you have been nominated.  Please review the Graduate Semester Abroad Information Session below to familiarize yourself with the overall process.

Application Process

All applications are completed electronically through our website.  Once you have found the program of best fit you can click on the "Apply Now" button located on the program brochure of the program you are interested in.  Your login information for our website is the same at your Babson Portal username and password.  Once you have opened an application you will be required to submit the following (each is explained in greater detail within the application itself):

  1. Academic Proposal of Study for Graduate Education Abroad

  2. Statement of Agreement for Graduate Education Abroad

  3. Personal Reflection on Education Abroad

  4. Resume

  5. Faculty Recommendation

Application materials must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on March 1 for fall and spring semester abroad.  Application decisions will be issued approximately two weeks after the application deadline.  At that time, you will receive an email from the Glavin Office of Multicultural and International Education with further instructions on applying to the external program as noted above.
