Babson Short-Term Programs Faculty (Risk Management Program)

Welcome to the proposal process for the Babson Electives Abroad.
Please be sure to read through and/or print the ALL instructions below before clicking the "APPLY NOW" button.
We are pleased that you are interested in leading a course abroad for Babson students. To begin the proposal process, click on the "Apply Now" button above. Log in using your Babson username and password. Upon logging in, you will be prompted to:
1.) Select THE TERM you plan to offer your course (Please note: You can only select one term per application.)
2.) Enter the dates your course will be abroad. (Please note: these are tentative dates and can be changed at a later time as needed.)
3.) Select one location(city, country) for your course, and click the "Add Itinerary" button. If a location is missing from the locations list, you can enter the city in the search box and options will become available, select best choice. (Please note: you will be given an opportunity on the application on the next page to indicate any additional locations for your program.)
4.) After completing the initial information screen, click on the "Apply" button.
5.) You will be redirected to the application page where you will click on the New Babson Electives Abroad Proposal Detail questionnaire OR the Previously Run Babson Elective Abroad Submission questionnaire. Complete the appropriate questionnaire and click submit. Note: You can save the questionnaire and return to it at a later time to complete.
6.) Complete and submit the Faculty Passport Information & Submission form.
7.) FOR Fall & Winter Proposals - Complete and submit the Fall/Winter Proposals - Third-party Provider RFP Information form. You will need to complete the RFP Itinerary Template.pdf prior to submitting this form as you will need to upload it to the form.
The Glavin Office of Multicultural & International Education will review the information and be in touch with you regarding any questions.
All proposals are reviewed, evaluated and approved by the appropriate Dean’s office, the Electives Abroad Team, the Senior Director, International Education as well as the Advisory Committee on Education Abroad for their innovative approaches and curricular fit for the intended student population.
The elective abroad selection timeline is as follows:
11/01/2019 | Course Proposal Application Opens |
01/31/2020 | Course Proposal Application Closes |
02/04 - 02/07/2020 | Glavin Office follow up meetings with faculty as needed |
02/11 - 02/20/2020 | Glavin Office & Deans review all proposed courses |
February 2020 Meeting | ACEA reviews all proposed UG courses for final approval |
Week of 03/02/2020 | 2020-2021 Academic Year Course Announced |
