Program Description:

IE University, rooted in entrepreneurship, is a highly reputable business school with campuses located in Madrid and Segovia, Spain.  AACSB-accredited, the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program offers a wide-range of business courses.  IE University has two campus locations: Madrid and Segovia. Segovia is a 25 minute train ride from Madrid and offers first and second year business courses and liberal art courses. The Madrid campus offers the third and fourth year business courses. Exchange students can choose either campus for the semester but may not cross enroll at both locations.

The undergraduate student population is 1,200. Each year an average of 80 different nationalities are represented on campus with over 65 % of their students coming from abroad.

Studying at IE University

  • Direct enrollment in classes with full degree seeking students.
  • Courses offered in English and Spanish
  • Spanish Language courses offered as supplement to semester course load
  • Classroom size is an average of 25 students
  • Visiting exchange students must complete 30 ECTS credits per semester (typically equivalent to 15 Babson credits). Most undergraduate courses at IE are worth 2 or 3 Babson credits each.

Life at IE University

  • Exchange students will participate in an orientation at the beginning of the semester.
  • Students participating in the IE exchange program will have independent housing, meaning the student is responsible for arranging their own accommodation for their semester or academic year abroad. IE offers housing resources.
  • Exchange students are fully integrated with IE’s resident students and enjoy the full range of activities and resources which the University has to offer, including sports, excursions, cultural visits and student clubs. Here is a sample list:
