Travel with Babson to Tanzania in January 2020!

The Babson BELA program is offered in partnership with the Ganako School in Karatu, Tanzania.  As part of the experience volunteers teach the Babson BELA program to over 100 youth who travel to the Ganako School.  In addition volunteers will have the unique opportunity to participate in a short Safari led by world-renowned provider Thomson Safari.

Program Schedule
Preparation begins with Teaching Entrepreneurship seminar scheduled for Friday mornings Sept. 13th and 20th. This seminar prepares participants to work as a team on exercises and best practices for teaching the curriculum.

The team will visit Tanzania for 10 days from December 29, 2019–January 8, 2020. Once in Tanzania. Monday through Friday will be spent running the academy with approximately 100 students representing five schools from the Karatu region. The estimated cost of this trip is $2,700, including airfare, meals, transportation, accommodations, and the guided safari. Students who complete in the Teaching Entrepreneurship seminar are eligible for a small stipend.

The application is open July 1 for January 2020.  Space is limited, and applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the trip is full.
